Soursop Leaf Tea Review

It always feels like such a win when I find some gems while traveling. During my recent trip to Grenada, I was intrigued by the locals mention of the Soursop Leaf. The Grenadians stand-by the health benefits of drinking Soursop tea. Although not backed yet by large numbers, the thought benefits include preventing/treating cancer, lowing blood pressure, and better sleep. The seller that I purchased the Soursop Leaves from shared with me her own journey of breast cancer recovery and how the tea helped ease her journey during treatment (now in remission for 2 years). It became an inspiration in my own health journey!

In the past I've had leaf brewed Green Tea and found it to be a little bitter, so I wasn't sure what to expect with the Soursop Tea. Surprisingly, it has its own sweetness! You don't have to add a lot of honey or sugar to taste at all, Although I don't expect the long-term health benefits to be immediate, when I drink the tea a few hours before bed I have a solid restful sleep! My aunt and I took the first sample of tea on the same night, and she can't stop raving about how good her sleep is now (she's had sleeping problems for years), The tea gets me relaxed and not in an alarming way. I'm looking forward to seeing what other health benefits come forth with my daily Soursop Tea nightly routine!

Recommendation: If you visit the Caribbean Islands, be sure to stock up on Whole Soursop Leaves. The Soursop fruit tree only grows in the Caribbean. You will also get a better deal on the leaves directly from the source. Here's the recipe that I found and love for making Soursop Tea (click here). It has been added to my recipe book!

To purchase your own Soursop Leaves check-out my storefront (click here). You will also see my favorite Hawaiian Islands Tea Company products from a past post.
