I Fly Delta Airlines

Updated: Jun 7, 2023

The first airplane ✈ I flew on that I could remember as a kid was with Delta airlines.  I loved the flight attendants' classy uniforms and the cookies 🍪 on board were a big highlight for me!  It wasn't until I was a young adult that I started to appreciate the finer details of what Delta offers with their flight experience.

In my recent travels Post-Covid, I still prefer Delta over any other airlines.  The first reason is because of my experience with the Delta app verses competitor apps such as American Airlines and United.  The app is more user friendly, provides live airport updates faster, and has less system glitches.  My last experience with the United app was pretty frustrating.  I had to scan my passport information several times after seeing it successfully save and then not appear later.  I even had to call Customer Service to get my Mileage Member number tied to my flight ticket 🎟 even though it was already linked to my profile.  I've never had this issue with Deleta even if I'm booking my trip through a 3rd party!

The second reason I love Delta is because they have more amenities on board.  You don't have to pay for the snacks. And yes...I still look forward to a cookie 🍪 on board!  The in-flight entertainment is also superior with the built-in screens on the seats.  This is available on most long flights compared to the trend with other airlines to go fully digital.  I also noticed that Delta tends to have more restrooms on board as well.

So Delta is usually pricier than its competitors, but I understand why with the ease of travel and quality service you receive.  The third reason I love Delta is because I have minimal to no hiccups when flying with them.  From the check-in process, to boarding and deplaning, and customer service support before and throughout the trip are truly best in class.  I like to fly comfortably, and Delta hasn't failed me yet!  Everyday is like Friday with them...and Friday is my favorite day of the week!

As far as airline loyalty goes, I'm typically on American. I whole heartedly agree with you, though. Delta is cream of the crop (domestically). For anyone looking at this, I'd compare the 2 as Cadillac (Delta) vs. Chevrolet (American). Or, an Escalade vs. a Tahoe, haha! They're essentially the same but Cadillac (Delta) has more luxury, features and prestige. Which will always cost more. Lastly, and I know I'm preaching to the choir here, you'll never see me on Spirit... not even sure where they fit in my car analogy! Haha! Cheers, Nina!
