It doesn't matter where you are, if it's hot and humid things can get uncomfortable. Try hiking through a Costa Rican volcanic spring or enjoying a summer activity in 90 degree weather with no relief! We all know that feeling...you're sweaty and hot and mostly likely thirsty. After investing in some cooling towels for my first trip to Costa Rica, the uses have been plentiful. I purchased a two-pack Ultra Soft Microfiber Cooling Towel from Hero on Amazon and now wonder why I didn't consider using a cooling towel before!

First Impression:
I received the Hero Cooling Towels in two compact plastic containers. There are different color selections and I picked one black towel and one pink towel. The pink is a nice bright color that goes great with my pink outfits. Now that I'm thinking about it, it will be of great use on the golf course this summer. I like to coordinate and it will go nicely with my pink and black golf gear! The material is soft and durable and fits perfectly around the neck, forehead, or covering the month.
Pros & Cons:
My expectations of the cooling towel were met. Upon wetting the towel it took a minute to feel the material turn cool (no cold water was necessary). The first time I used the towel was on a hike in 90 plus degree weather. It came in handy too! I was able to put the towel around my neck and forehead to help cool down. The towel stayed cool for around 30 minutes. To get it cool again, simply soak the towel in water again. The towel is damp to the touch, but I didn't mind since I was already sweating bullets. The towel is also light-weight in and out of it's container. It's easy to carry in a dry bag, backpack, suitcase, or decent sized purse.

Recommendation:
I'd recommend purchasing the Hero Cooling Towel for your next hike, sports, yoga, travel, and everyday! It's lightweight, compact, and durable. If you are looking for a cooling towel that isn't damp, my particular selection is not right for you. If you are looking for something to help you cool down quickly in hot temps, this is a great purchase. Cool down your hot Fridays!
